The inaugural WoW Awards celebrates the excellence of the Woodruff School community by spotlighting current and former students. The event will feature a plated dinner, keynote speech from alumna Dr. Stacey Dixon who served as the sixth Senate confirmed Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. After the keynote speech, six Woodruff School WoW Graduate Fellowship recipients will be honored. The agenda for the event is as follows

5:00 - 6:00 pm: Plated dinner and networking with Women of Woodruff
6:00 - 6:30 pm: Keynote speech - Dr. Stacey Dixon
6:30 - 7:00 pm: Graduate fellowship awards ceremony

Dr. Stacey A. Dixon served as the sixth Senate-confirmed Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence from August 4, 2021, until January 24, 2025. From 2019-2021, Dr. Dixon served as the eighth Deputy Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). From 2018 to 2019, she served as the fourth Director of the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), after serving as its Deputy Director from 2016 to 2018. From 2010-2016, Dr. Dixon held various leadership roles at NGA, including Deputy Director of Research, Deputy Director of the Office of Corporate Communications, and Chief of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs. From 2007-2010, Dr. Dixon was a professional staff member for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. She began her intelligence career in 2003 as an engineer at the Central Intelligence Agency assigned to the National Reconnaissance Office. Dr. Dixon holds both a doctorate and master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. She was a chemical engineering postdoctoral fellow at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Dixon currently resides in the District of Columbia.
