Women of Woodruff through the WoW Leadership Symposium is spotlighting female leaders in industry who will lead the sessions for the symposium. The sessions will focus on career readiness, strategic networking, and effective leadership.
The symposium is open to both undergraduate students and graduate students. All are welcome and encouraged to attend as the program is not just open to women. The event attendance is capped at 70 attendees. Attire for the symposium is business casual. Lunch will be provided.

Jieun Ku

Boeing Company
Jieun was born and raised in Korea. With a passion for the aerospace industry, she graduated with a BS in Aerospace Engineering and moved to the US to pursue a graduate degree.
Jieun received her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2007. After completing a one-year Postdoctoral Fellowship at Georgia Tech, she joined Boeing as a Stress Analyst in 2008. As an engineer, she gained diverse experience working on multiple commercial airplane programs, including the 747, 767, 777, 787, and product development. After beginning her leadership journey in 2018, she held several positions in Airframe Structures, including Deputy Chief Structures Engineer for the 777 derivative development. Currently, Jieun is the Senior Manager for 787 Wing & Empennage, leading US-based engineering teams and collaborating with partners and suppliers worldwide.
She is married and has three beautiful children and two dogs.
Jazmine Brite
AI Product Activation Program Manager
Jazmine Brite is from the Metro-Atlanta area and completed her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2015.
After working as a mechanical engineer at companies like Caterpillar, Bechtel and Delta Air Lines, she completed her MBA at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2022. She now works as an AI Product Activation Program Manager at Google in New York City.
Jazmine is passionate about exploring the world, creative expression, exploring new restaurants, and having fun with family and friends.
Carly Queen
Carly is the Owner/CEO of Aurora Innovative Solutions. Aurora Innovative Solutions is a consulting firm that specializes in sustainable infrastructure. With over a decade of experience advancing multi-modal transportation projects via our innovative approach to urban planning and traffic engineering, Aurora Innovative Solutions creates customized strategic solutions for clients' most complex community challenges.
Previously, Carly was a Sustainable Transportation Specialist and Civil Engineer with AECOM in Atlanta, where she focused on planning and engineering activities to advance multimodal transportation infrastructure and safety across Georgia
She has been recognized with several honors and awards for her volunteer service as well as academic and professional accomplishments over the last several years, including two Dwight D. Eisenhower Graduate Fellowships, an Innovation in Safety Award from the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition, and the Georgia Tech Alumni Association 40 Under 40 Class of 2021.
Aparna Shah
Aparna Shah is the SVP and General Manager of the U.S. Information Solutions Direct to Consumer (D2C) business at Equifax. She joined the D2C business in 2022 and is responsible for driving revenue growth of identity and credit monitoring and lead generation services across digital and call center channels.
Aparna joined Equifax in 2009 and has held several roles across the organization including SVP of Strategic Initiatives, responsible for managing business transformation efforts, M&A integrations, and new product introductions and within the marketing organization, holding roles in product innovation and strategic pricing.
Prior to Equifax, Aparna was a management consultant in Strategy and Operations at Deloitte. She has her MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management and a mechanical engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology.
